Soak the poha in water. Wash and drain all the water. Add some salt , turmeric powder , keep aside. Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes, chop the onions, chillies, corainder leaves. Heat oil and put chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, peanuts, curry leaves and fry until they crackle. Add potatoes , saute for few minutes, then add chopped onions, chillies. Cook till they are done. Add the poha, corainder leaves and stir. Keep it on slow flame for 5- 7 minutes.
Let it cool for sometime and add then lemon juice.

It is a tricky thing to make the poha without getting stuck. The trick is in selection of poha and soaking it properly. Select a thick quality poha. (Do not use nylon poha or a thin poha. They are good for making chivada.) Get thick poha, put it in a sieve and pour enough water over it to get it soaked. Remove excess of water from the sieve and drain it, keep the sieve in a dish for 2-3 minutes. The poha will get soaked as optimum. Then follow all the other procedure as usual manner by making tadaka with brassica seeds, asafoetida powder, turmeric powder, green chilli pieces, chopped onion, fry it and then add soaked poha, Put a lid on it to cook it for 2-3 minutes, Add salt to taste and a pinch of sugar to it to make it tasty.
